ASKED QUESTIONS
What is San Tai San?
San Tai San, or "3 on 3", is an outdoor 3 on 3 youth
basketball tournament. We close down San Pedro St. in front of the
JACCC (between 2nd and 3rd Streets) in Little Tokyo, and set up 8
temporary
hoops on half courts.
Who can participate?
The tournament is open to all children who are in the following grade
brackets:
3rd Grade
4th Grade
5th Grade
6th Grade
7th Grade
How many players can play on a team?
Teams will be strictly limited to 4 players. If you
have more than 4 players interested, please register a second team.
While this is a competitive tournament, the goal is to have fun and
enjoy a day in Little Tokyo.
What
size ball is used?
Girls divisions use a Women's basketball. All other
brackets play with Men's regulation size basketball.

"Til There's a Rec Center, We're Takin it to the Streets!"
The San Tai San tournament was begun in 1999 to show the kind of
community spirit the
Recreation Center would bring to Little
Tokyo. The Recreation Center has been looking
for a site in Little Tokyo since 1994. It would provide a space for
basketball, martial arts, senior programs, and other community
programs.
